Originally from Gaudalajara Jalisco Mexico, and now resides in Santa Barbara, California. Edgar Octavio Hernandez Zendejas is a chef of profession, and an artist of vocation. As a chef, he created gastronomic concepts inspired by the food of his origin, with a touch of modernity and dynamism by creating more than 37 restaurants and concepts of Mexican cuisine and fusion.
The kitchen is a canvas where colors and flavors are reflected as a work of art. At the same time, abstract painting gave him a freedom to express himself. “It is nothing but a delight.” At the moment of being created, each painting has a feeling and a soul as well as a food recipe. It is the essence of life itself expressed on a piece of paper or canvas, to express his feeling and his madness for food and art. Each painting is unique and is the essence of every day, and the soul of a good recipe.
